Welcome to CFUW- Northumberland.

Founded in 1991, our local club is part of a provincial, national and international organization that promotes education and advocacy for women and girls. CFUW was founded in Winnipeg in 1919 with the goal of encouraging women to strive for higher education.

Membership is open to all women who value learning. Monthly speakers present interesting and challenging talks on a wide range of topics. These meetings are a prime opportunity to keep connected and informed.

Through our many and varied interest groups, CFUW members have made Lasting friendships and enjoy the benefits of socializing.

CFUW-N is proud to offer scholarships to young Northumberland County women graduating from each of six high schools. A seventh Award has been designated for a First Nations, Métis or Inuit female in post-secondary education at Trent University. We also award a bursary to a student at Fleming College and maintain an endowment fund at Trent University, which also provides bursaries to Northumberland County students.

CFUW-N continues to attract , and be enriched by, talented and resourceful members, women who are also involved in local community groups and activities.
